TODAY IN HIP-HOP HISTORY: ERIC B. AND RAKIM RELEASE THEIR DEBUT ALBUM ‘PAID IN FULL’ 33 YEARS AGO

Eric B, and Rakim released their debut album paid in full July 7, 1987. which was also recorded at Marley Marls home studio and Power Play Studios in New York City. in early 1987. Rakim wrote his songs in one hour while listening to the beat. The ten track album include “Paid In Full”, “I Aint No Joke” “My Melody” , “Move The Crowd”, “As The Rhyme Goes On”. Rakim then recorded his vocals in the booth by reading his lyrics from a paper. Eric B. and Rakim reunited as a group in 2018, Make sure you listen to the classic album below.
