Don Fetti Interview on “Voice It”

Tiara – For the people that don’t know you tell them who you’re.

Don Fetti – I’m originally from Kentucky, I have been through a lot in my life, and turned bad situations into promising situations. I have been in the music industry for a long time, and I had a couple of record deals on the table with Tvt Records, and Pimp C was trying to sign me to UGK records. Before I could solidify anything, I had made some bad decisions and paid my debt to society for some mistakes I made.

Tiara – How was it working with Pimp C?

Don Fetti – Pimp C was grooming me for the music industry, he told me what to watch for, and how you can put yourself in a bad situation by signing the wrong record deal. I also have a song with Pimp C, the clean and dirty version. I got in a bad situation and he passed away, and we couldn’t release the song it was a tragic year in 2007.

Tiara – Who inspired you growing up?

Don Fetti – My mother and uncle had a massive record collection; they would play music all day and night. As I got older, I started listening to LL Cool J, Tupac, Biggie, Master P, and so many other genres of music.

Tiara – Who would you want to collaborate with on song?

Don Fetti – I would collaborate with Drake, NBA Young Boy, and Lil Baby.

Tiara – Are you signed to a label?

Don Fetti –My Team and I is focusing on Indie  Touring and creating a demand.

Tiara – How do you feel about the music industry now?

Don Fetti – I feel like its coming back to the good essence of music, artists are making songs that people can relate to.

Tiara – What keeps you motivated?

Don Fetti – My kids, I love everything about music and the way it’s put together. I also work in Real Estate, and I own a few houses. It’s not just about the music it is about leaving a legacy for your family. While I was incarcerated, I wasn’t watching reality shows and wasting time. I educated myself by taking college courses, I wrote 2 books, and I always stayed on top of new technology.
