Music artist, the entrepreneur, podcast host Lemzi, recently released his single “Solxtions“, which is a fusion of garage, house, and 2 steps with a contemporary spin to prepare everyone for the summer they have deserved.
Born and raised in Leytonstone, east London, Lemzi accentuates the diversity within his personal life and external environment to provide his particular brand of authentic and uplifting music. Lemzi has released solo EPs, joint EPs, singles, music videos, his debut album, toured the UK, performed across different continents, sold-out shows, curated his own events, established a mentoring/workshop brand, featured on Sky News & London Live, was voted MSG London artist of the month (Jan 2019), was a finalist in both Coffee Music Project London and Afropunk 2019.

Tiara – For the people that don’t know you tell them who you are.
Lemzi – I am an artist and a creator from London, I do a lot of music, and coordinate events. I’m currently working on developing an app that is for mindfulness, music, and learning how to meditate.
Tiara – How was it for you growing up in East London?
Lemzi – East London is an interesting place, as a teenager I was always in tune to what was going on outside of East London.
Tiara – Tell me about your transition from a lawyer to an artist.
Lemzi -Making music has been a passion of mine since I was 10 years old. As I got older I started doing open mic performances and getting more of an insight of what it means to get in the studio and collaborate with other artists.
Tiara – How did you survive as an artist through covid?
Lemzi – In August of 2020 I couldn’t go to any events, work in the studio to create new music, I felt like it was a big pause on everything, but I didn’t give up, I just thought of new ideas to get better.
Tiara – Tell me about your new single “Solxtions”.
Lemzi – My mind set for the song is to go out and enjoy yourself without being problematic.
Tiara – What advice would you give upcoming artists?
Lemzi – If you want to be an artist, you have to be committed, it takes a lot of energy and hard work. If you don’t enjoy it, be honest with yourself and find something that you love to do.
Tiara – What inspires you?
Lemzi – I want my music to be the best, and I want to perform in the states and across the world, and meeting new people keeps me motivated.
