CHRIS CART3R Sets the Stage for Empathetic Narcissist

From not knowing where to go to finally finding a sense of direction again, CHRIS CART3R’s latest releases reflect an artist reconnecting with himself in real time. More importantly, they showcase someone becoming comfortable with transparency and vulnerability — qualities that continue to separate genuine artists from the noise.

On April 19, 2026, CART3R released DO NOT DISTURB (DND), a two-track EP centered around one of the most difficult periods of his personal and creative journey. The project captures the emotional weight of balancing relationships, personal struggles, and the pressure that comes with an artist beginning to gain momentum.

For many creatives, the come up can become overwhelming. As opportunities increase, so do expectations, emotions, and sacrifices. For CART3R, DND represents the moment where everything internally began colliding at once.

After speaking with CART3R, he explained the mindset he was in while creating the project:

“Love always doesn’t feel the same… I didn’t know where to go.”

That uncertainty lives throughout the EP. Instead of masking those emotions, CART3R leans directly into them, reflecting on past relationships, emotional isolation, and the process of healing from darker spaces mentally and emotionally. The project feels less like a performance and more like a release — an artist letting go of everything that had been weighing on him internally.

CART3R also shared:

“Nothing was moving me; I was in the house depressed.”

That honesty is what gives DO NOT DISTURB its impact. The project doesn’t try to romanticize pain; it documents it. It captures the reality of someone attempting to regain clarity while feeling disconnected from themselves and the people around them.

One of the standout records from the EP, “Ricky Bobby / 12,” highlights that emotional transformation directly. Throughout the track, CART3R compares the feeling of being at the top of his game to suddenly losing everything — in this case, losing himself and his sense of direction. The record moves through themes of isolation, self-reflection, and eventually self-restoration. Rather than remaining trapped in those emotions, CART3R uses the music as a way to pull himself back out of them.

After losing time, confidence, and even respect from some of the people around him, “12” becomes the moment where he reclaims his identity. The gritty energy behind the record feels intentional — almost like an artist reminding himself exactly who he is after spending so much time mentally disconnected.

CART3R described the record simply as:

“Remembering who I am.”

That may ultimately be the core message behind DO NOT DISTURB. Beyond the music, the project represents growth, healing, and self-awareness. It’s the sound of an artist stepping out of emotional confusion and back into alignment with himself, his purpose, and his creativity.

Following the emotional vulnerability displayed on DND, CHRIS CART3R shifts the energy on his latest EP, Life of The Party. The project captures CART3R stepping back into himself with confidence, freedom, and renewed energy, embracing different sounds and flows while allowing the music to guide his emotions naturally.

Speaking on his creative process, CART3R shared:

“Those beats bring the lyrics out of me. I don’t write with intention — I flow with how I’m feeling.”

That authenticity is felt throughout the EP, especially on the opening track “Man of The Year,” where CART3R stamps his position in the early rise of his career with confidence, hunger, and self-belief. Together, the project reflects an artist no longer lost, but fully stepping into his growth and identity.

These recent EPs and singles are only the foundation for what CHRIS CART3R says will be his biggest statement yet — his debut album, Empathetic Narcissist, scheduled for release in Q4 of 2026. With a growing presence in Denver’s underground music scene, CART3R continues building momentum through vulnerability, consistency, and a sound that feels both personal and cinematic. More than just releasing music, he’s creating a story listeners are beginning to connect with in real time.

As anticipation builds toward his first full-length project, CHRIS CART3R is quickly becoming an artist to watch for years to come.

So what’s next for CART3R?

In his own words:

“Get back to where I started — Where’s CART3R?”
