TrapHeavy Talks Growing Up In St Louis, New Music And More

The St. Louis native is known as a rapper/ songwriter from St Louis, Missouri. At a very young age, TrapHeavy knew he wanted to be a rapper, inspired by the Hot Boys, and as he got older Jay Z, Yo Gotti, and Young Jeezy. He also recently dropped a visual for ‘Shoot Off’ Remix. In this single he raps about the life he use to live and what he went through. In our interview, he talks growing up in St. Louis, working with Vick Mont, Chopsquad DJ, and more. Tiara – Who inspired you the most?

TrapHeavy – As I got older Yo Gotti, and Jeezy inspired me.

Tiara – How did you come up with the name TrapHeavy

TrapHeavy – Heavy was a nickname I had at a younger age; it just been a family nickname for a long time, then I was creative and combined TrapHeavy.

Tiara – Tell me about your single ‘Shoot Off’ remix.

TrapHeavy – I have always been around a lot of older people growing up, In 2013 I got locked up for a drug charge, and they offered me 20 years; the single is just an authentic song.

Tiara – Tell me about your new single ‘Blue Strip’?

TrapHeavy – ‘Blue Strips’ the song has good vibes, and everybody wants ‘Blue Strips’ one hundred.

Tiara – How did the collaboration with ‘VickMont’ happen?

TrapHeavy – I reached out to him, to shoot the video I made a song with him back in 2018.

Tiara – You also have a collaboration with Chopsquad DJ tell me about that?

TrapHeavy – I have been knowing chopsquad DJ for a while. I went into the studio one day, and I let him pick out the beats, and we just made it happen.

Tiara – What advice would you give the upcoming artist?

TrapHeavy – Stay dedicated, don’t worry about the haters, and stay focus because at the end of the day it’s your vision.

Tiara – What keeps you motivated through this quarantine and whats going on in the world?

TrapHeavy – My family, and money keeps me motivated.
