Interview With K’Shon below:

Tiara: Hey how are you?

K ‘Shon:  I’m good

Tiara: How are you handling this quarantine?

K ‘Shon: I’m just going with it, you have to keep going.

Tiara: Yes that’s true, and it’s a good time Take time for yourself.

K ‘Shon: exactly

Tiara: Your in the Atlanta area right?

K ‘Shon: No right now I’m in South Carolina

Tiara: Oh okay! Your from Lauren SC right?

K ‘Shon: Yeah

Tiara: how was it growing up in Lauren sc?

K ‘Shon: It was nice I am a country boy I grew up around horses and chickens

Tiara: Oh nice! I am a country girl myself

Tiara: How was it like growing up around singers?

K ‘Shon: I use to sing in church and my father was in a well known group called “Xplicit” they were  singing all the time so they inspired me to sing, and he been teaching me ever since.

Tiara: That’s good!

Tiara: You also worked with a lot of major artist. How was it working with K Camp

K ‘Shon: It was cool! I basically made some songs for him , I thank him, and DJ Genius for giving me credit on the songs.

Tiara: I listen to your song  “Promise” by the way and your voice sounds really good!

K ‘Shon: Yeah it was a lot of practicing and a lot of vocal lessons.

Tiara: You have your own style

K’Shon: Thank you!

Tiara: Your song “Promise” what was the emotion behind the song?

K ‘Shon: Honesty I was just playing around  and joking with my friends. Than I really thought about it, “promise” I was like let me make this into a Love song, because that’s what we are missing right now in the industry. Going back to when men would make promises to women they wouldn’t keep. But the song end up becoming a hit.

Tiara: What separates you from other artist?

K ‘ShonI do the music for the people I don’t do it for myself, I want people to remember and say that was a real song and not just a hot song.

Tiara: Your single”Stand Up” that was a really strong song and a great video

K ‘Shon: Thank you, and it’s about the people really coming together.

Tiara: What advice would you give to upcoming artist that can’t seem to break into the industry?

K ‘Shon: I would tell them to find there sweet spot. When it comes to making music, study the hit songs listen to Beyonce, Chris Brown, Micheal Jackson, and incorporate that with your own style, and just go out there and do it. And don’t worry about what other people say, and a lot of people get discouraged because of that so just stay focus.

Tiara: What’s your goal for the future so far as music or anything?

K ‘Shon: Getting my name heard, and being one of those iconic artist that’s my maine future right now, and Setting the tone I just Don’t wanna make it myself, I want everybody to make it.

Tiara: How is it being a professional producer song writer and a singer?

K ‘Shon: I do it all (laugh) being a producer is fun! I wanted to be a producer first. I was making beats and then my dad found out I could sing so then I started making songs for him, and I learned how to be a engineer from my father. Then I went to school for it so I can better myself and I don’t want to have to depend on no one, I can make my own craft.

Tiara: I’m sure it’s really easy for you?

K ‘Shon: Oh yeah it is second nature, I can make anything.

Tiara: So Dj Quick was an engineer, can you tell me more about that and who all he worked with?

K ‘Shon: Yes he worked with Travis Scott Rich Homie Quan, Quavo, Summer Walker and more.

Tiara: That’s great, do you feel like you have to work harder?

K ‘Shon: Oh yeah, but  me and my father we would always  joke around he would always say he is better than me (laugh)

Tiara: Have you thought about touring and performing soon?

K ‘Shon: I wanted to do something so bad before this quarantine.

Tiara: Are you working on any new videos I, did see the one for promise which is really dope?

K ‘Shon: Yes we are actually working on something right now you guys are gonna love this next song

Tiara: Can you give me a insight on the video your working on or you keeping it a secret ( Laugh)

K ‘Shon: Yeah I’m keeping it a secret (laugh). But I will have some models and that’s all I’m gonna give you

Tiara: (laugh) that’s cool thanks

Tiara: Before I wrap the interview up do you plan on working on an album?
