Glorilla’s Bestie Aleza taps in with Savannah, GA Artist LaScrilla For “My Type”

About LaScrilla

LaScrilla’s journey is one of resilience, overcoming setbacks, and emerging stronger than ever all while creating music his fans can enjoy. The Savannah bred rapper, also known as Lafayette Wright Jr., is on a mission to break the cycle of fatherlessness and to become a positive influence, particularly for those incarcerated. Facing his own challenges, including beating a 30-year prison sentence, LaScrilla is on a relentless grind to come out on top.

With a musical journey spanning nine years (inactive for six of them), LaScrilla has become known for his bold and shock-inducing style influenced by legends like Birdman, DMX, Trick Daddy, Plies, and others. He’s not afraid of saying something off the wall in his music. “I talk about eating butt and playing with my nose,” he explains, “so it’s safe to say I’m a character.” LaScrilla often raps over club banger beats to encapsulate his bold personality and has collaborated with notable artists such as JMB Juvie, Babytron, Aleza, Bankroll Fresh, Skooly, and more.

LaScrilla finished out 2023 with “LaLaLa” featuring Tracy T, which highlights his versatility and currently boasts over 80,000 views on YouTube. Having graced major stages like Dolph Dope Boy Riot in Atlanta, GA, and CIAA in Charlotte, NC, LaScrilla is a sought-after performer in nightclubs from Greensboro, NC, to Miami, FL. Beyond the stage, LaScrilla is motivated by being a great father and even collaborated with Zaytoven on the initiative “Hustle for Kids” in 2016, which is an annual toy drive for Christmas.
