Boss Britt and DJ Exel are a host/MC and DJ duo based in Atlanta, GA.
The two met in 2016 after continuously running into each other at various events and eventually decided to team up to become two of the most in-demand party rockers in the city.
Their weekly event, New Wave Sundayz at Cephora Lounge helped to solidify their following and they also host a monthly event, First Fridays at Truth Nightclub. They have since landed bookings in Cincinnati, OH, Miami, FL, Colombia, SC, Nashville, TN, and Jamaica Queens, NY while maintaining their individual careers.
This past summer, the duo released a mixtape, ‘Summer 17 Club Killerz’, which featured exclusive tracks from mainstream and independent artists. The mixtape release party for the tape was held in South Beach Miami and sold out within the first hour of ticket sales availability.
In addition to hosting parties, Boss Britt and DJ Exel are also personalities on The Progress Report which is an online radio show which caters to artists and entrepreneurs. Listeners can tune in and watch live every Wednesday 9-11PM EST via Live Hip Hop Daily.
Fast forward to 2018, Boss Britt & DJ Exel have taken over as the official lesbian hang out with their two new weekly events, 4play Thursdays at SpeakEasy Lounge and Look Alive Saturdays at Cephora Lounge. The duo hosted rap sensation, JayliiGotJuice compilation mixtape, Put Yourself On which has caught the attention of several record labels.
Boss Britt has since hosted Miami pride, Cleveland pride, Virginia pride, and Atlanta Pride alongside Cardi B’s sister, Hennessy Carolina, Trina, Alexis Skyy, and Love & Hip Hop’s Erica Mena and Britt has interviewed musicians such as the Ying Yang Twins, Adina Howard, Light Skin Keisha, Sammie and more.
In addition to hosting parties, Boss Britt is also a brand ambassador for Gay Girls Rock and is gearing up for a 10+ city nationwide tour with Hip Hop phenomenon, Aina Breiyon.
Boss Britt looks to continue to take the LGBT scene in Atlanta to a different level, she looks to bring a different experience to all third-party bookings and plans to launch a lifestyle brand where she can provide nonprofit events. She is also extremely focused on her business partnership with DJ Exel and also focused on the role that she plays as a radio personality on The Progress Report with hopes of working with various music artists and accomplishing exclusive interviews with major artists.
